The pleated look gives it a great look, I wear it mid to High waist , Important to style it well for a decent look, i pair it with a slim fit half sleeve shirt (not tucked in) or a regular full sleeve shirt with sleeves folded (tucked in). Experiment with Wearing semiformal shoes such as good loafers or such, won't recommend sneakers but it depends on how the person style it
