The intricate ornamentation of Tholu Bommalata, Andhra Pradesh's leather puppet art, finds its way into colorful embroidery throughout. Balloon sleeves carry orange and teal blooms, gathered at the cuffs with drawstring ties and bright tassels. A classic collar tops the buttoned front, where slim floral vines run on either side. The soft, lightweight fabric feels gentle on the skin. Scalloped edges traced in red and mustard finish the hem and cuffs with a handcrafted flourish.
